Landscape
As I drove around Iwate prefecture today, the car navigation system did not work properly and guided me to a land that had a nostalgic aroma and as I looked around in order to know where I was, I found a sign board saying “Koma Station”. I raised a voice of cheer and on my way down to the station a landscape with a river greatly attracted me, again out of nostalgia, so I took off from the car and watched it from nearby. The river was actually the Kitakami river, the most cherished one for me, so I raised a voice of cheer again. My soul trembled as I watched the waving willows and the surface of the water. Then we drove on following my instinct that showed me a way to reach a place that had the nostalgic aroma. As I further followed it a brilliantly shining field and countryside became wide open before my eyes as if I were not in a historic land of Koguryo. A small road by rice fields, woods, trees by a river and leaves of trees that waved to wind and became brilliantly shining in silver made me envision an ancient light-scape. My soul trembled out of a great nostalgia and I shed tears. The visions coming from an ancient times and brilliantly shining rice fields in green made me envision a marvelous future and my life become filled with joy. They taught me about the eternal nature of the human soul. As I looked up at the sky the dark clouds had been absorbed by the light of a world far beyond the universe. Eternal human souls were brilliantly shining in a new world that was wide open for us to live on.
