True Spring
As I drew drawings on coffee cups and mugs I received a message from my heart saying “arrival of a true Spring” so I kept on drawing, repeating the phrase, as this made me filled with joy and opened my heart. With vigor, I enjoyed creating them moment after moment. It took me two days to fire them in a special oven for ceramic art and when they came out of it, I loudly said with joy that they were indeed “true Spring” and told everybody around me that if they were quite prepared to welcome all together the arrival of “true Spring”, I would be more than happy if we could do so. Anyway I was grateful to have been able to talk about “true Spring” that symbolically meant an arrival of an era when everyone would manifest one’s true nature and realize an authentic peace all over the world. Several years ago I envisioned what I called “dream of Mt. Gojo”, the birth place of Koguryo’s dynasty, and created a poem about this which read that everyone would walk along the road to Mt. Gojo with friends to whom they had been guided to encounter each other and manifest one’s true nature. Then this became the central idea of the activities of NPO KOMA and since then I have been telling people that a world without warfare was not sufficient and we should realize a truly human society that would allow everyone to live a brilliantly shining life by developing one’s inner potentials to the full. In the Middle East countries’ wars and conflicts have been perpetuated, so people usually questioned my idea, and one day I had a interview on a TV program and clearly replied that every person should do one’s best to stop war and conflict on earth immediately, however in Japan though there was no actual war, people were living a painful life, so our goal was to realize a truly human world to be realized by enriching our internal conditions that would surely change any negative external circumstances. I always tell people the same thing wherever I visit on Earth and people agree with me. As a result of which I have been realizing our marvelous concerts for peace that have often been staged in a miraculous manner and venue. Today’s my art cups that I called “true Spring” looked extremely transparent, pure, beautiful and unique. That made my life extremely animated with joy and become surrounded with an aroma of spring. I anticipated that my dream would be realized soon and our world would drastically change into a truly peaceful one. Each person could greatly and substantially participate in creating a new world by living a truly autonomous life. I was very excited at heart and would directly express voices of my internality. Though outside was very cold, my heart was filled with the warmth of Spring wind.
