Autumn in Mt.Gojo
As I was preparing a fair of my new art works, lamp shades, at the NPO KOMA Tohoku center in Morioka, a staff member asked me if the fortification walls in Mt. Gojo looked like my works as they were dyed in purple and green. I always loved a natural color and the colors of Mt. Gojo that were beyond description in any words were exquisitely beautiful. I had tried to copy them with special stone paints in vain. I realized that colors in nature were above everything artificial. However, the Washi traditional paper that I dyed at the inner garden of the Koma gallery Café at Yasaka manifested the colors of Mt. Gojo. Then I decided to create lamp shades with them and I could feel a special wind of Mt. Gojo as if I were staying overnight in the mountain. The night breeze in autumn was extremely pleasant and made me happy. In my room I installed a lamp shade that looked like the Amnokwang river that was situated at the border between China and North Korea. Next to it I additionally installed another one that had an aroma of dream and peony flower. In my bedroom I brought in one that looked like a lovely white flower. Like this a wonderful space was manifested. My marbling art works were capable of bringing special wind and aroma transcending time and space. Here I realized that my soul was connected to souls of people all over the world. A person could exercise a global influence to create a truly human and good world when one would live an internally rich life. My life was totally renewed. The first of November was the death anniversary of my father, and that was the day when I had started a new life of my own. Having realized the fact that human souls were eternal, my life that no one could imagine or predict in advance became extremely dramatic. I would be in Tohoku on the 1st November this year. My heart became animated and was filled with gratitude.
