Amnokwang river

For the Idaki Shin concert at Kyoto concert hall to be held on the 15th November, I used a photo taken by Mr. Idaki Shin at the border river between North Korea and China. For leaflets of his concert held in Kyoto I always selected a photo of Koguryo’s historic site, as I wished that they would appeal to people’s souls. I believed that those who were historically connected to us would realize the importance of our concert at a glance. Sometimes a scene of a TV program greatly attracted my heart and in such a case, to my great wonder, I soon discovered that it was a report from a place associated with ancient Koguryo. I felt as if time had stopped and I was about to make a time travel to an ancient past. This marvelous ability and sensitivity were a hope for humankind. A special wind of the Yasaka tower taught me that souls that have been sleeping under this ancient capital city were reviving now. I thought that the photo of our concert leaflet would wake them up. We were living in a new era when each of us would take a leading role in rebuilding our country and opening up our future. Souls of people who had built a nation in ancient times were vigorously collaborating with us. I realized hearts of ancient people at Yasaka who had delivered me the message to build “Koma here”. My heart was filled with hope as dearest wishes of humankind were being realized now.
