Wind
At my new home in Morioka city, I installed a marbling dyed Washi paper panel in the shape of an arch framed with wood with my calligraphy in black ink that read ‘sadness of a brilliantly shining great river would change into love’. I picked this one from Kyoto as I felt that the message would be suitable here. Below this I installed a photo panel accompanied with my poem of a snow covered Mt. Gojo photographed by Mr. Idaki Shin that was originally put next to the Koma calligraphy board on the basement floor of the Keiko Koma Skyrocket center at Omotesandou. The moment I installed them, a special wind blew and I trembled from top to bottom. I cheerfully exclaimed ‘my joy’ from the bottom of my body as my message read that a blowing wind told me about an eternal moment of life and love with king Tomei. The great impression that people had experienced in ancient times when they were living a unified life in their soul with their king was still alive now. Under these two panels I installed another photo panel of the remaining historic site of the first castle of Koguryo built by king Tomei in a plain land under Mt. Gojo.
Every time I went to Mt. Gojo, the birthplace of Koguryo, I arrived at Shengyang airport and took a highway, drove through deep mountains and fields and reached Mt. Gojo when I heard special sounds of land that greatly excited my heart. Trees were waving to wind and I felt a great nostalgia for the landscape. When I arrived at one place I always automatically pronounced its name as Mt. Gojo as I felt something was greatly moved at the depth of my heart to enrich my internality. Later I came to know that there used to be the very first castle built by king Tomei. Though he had told me about this, I realized that my life sensed this. Human life and sensitivity were indeed very mysterious and extremely rich. I would cherish my own life as something precious. I was greatly motivated to create a truly good and eternally shining country as king Tomei had done on that flat field. Based on this I installed photo panels in my new home in Morioka. Every time as I watched them a vigor filled my life.
