Compassion
Today I held my lecture event entitled “To be with all your soul”, and I talked about the process how from a mere coincidence I had come to start a coffee business with Ethiopia. I realized its precious meaning as these days we were servicing our coffee to people at many refugee places. I anticipated a marvelous future. My sincere heart and the expression of natural demand of my life has always been a key for opening up our future. I recalled a huge impact I had experienced when I had visited Mt. Gojo and heard that the meaning of its name was derived from an idea of a holly tree endlessly stretching towards Heaven as envisioned by the founder of Koguryo, king Tomei two thousand years ago. This was the same as the idea of Idaki that I had started twenty eight years ago, and now I envisioned a future world of two thousand years from the present and having followed my command of life, I had decided to visit Ethiopia, the birth place of humankind and also coffee. Our projects in Africa would surely lead us to open up a marvelous future for humankind. Initially I engaged in relief activities after a drought, however I came to discover many essential things in our own nature that greatly helped us. I realized that people in Ethiopia were greatly helping us rather than that we were. So I called our activity support instead of relief or help. However, these days I acknowledged that neither was support correct and I should have called it a joint project based on compassion. We were helping each other and elevating our state of life that looked like globally enlarging a circle of energy of human hearts until realizing a truly peaceful world. The expression of each person’s deepest inner wishes would surely change the entire world and make the world filled with joy.
