Marbling T-shirts
In the inner garden of Koma gallery Café Yasaka, I created as many as 600 marbling T-shirts for children. The weather in Kyoto was reported to rain. However fortunately it turned out to be a fine day ideal for marbling. Each marbling pattern made me imagine the smiling face of a child. So I prayed and created them wishing that we would build a good society full of vigorously smiling faces. I would present these T-shirts to children in a village hit by the disaster. Each marbling pattern was unique in the world as it was composed of the flow of light, water and wind and I considered it a micro-cosmos. When a person put one on, one could realize freedom and a new vigorous life as one realized the universal nature of one’s internality. I sincerely wished to create a new village and contribute to building our country that would allow every child to live a vigorous life. Trees at Yasaka were shining in fresh blue color that seemed to tell me of the arrival of time to rebuild our country. I realized an ever ascending energy that would surely lead us to open up our future. Thank you very much.
