Aroma for poem
It was in the season of cherry blossom when I visited Morioka as I wished to do something for the recovery after the disaster in North Eastern Japan. At a riverside in the city center the beautifully shining surface of water greatly impressed me and moved my soul. White cherry blossoms in the land of the north were indeed very elegant and beautiful. New buds of trees that seemed to wash and purify my life were also shining brilliantly. I was surrounded by an aroma of water. I was glad to be alive and an extreme joy came up from the depth of my life. I exclaimed with joy that this land would allow me to create many poems. I greatly enjoyed writing poems at a traditional Japanese garden overlooking a mountain covered with cherry blossoms and at a riverside visited by pleasant winds. Today I came across a table and chair for my new home in Morioka that were also full of poetic aroma that I had envisioned in the past and wished to find in reality. When I was asked by somebody what I would do when the world would become truly peaceful, I always replied that I would like to spend every day creating poems. At first glance I was excited to have acknowledged that the new home in Morioka would allow me to do so. I recalled the message by Mr. Idaki Shin delivered at his birthday concert held the other day that since childhood the authentic light of my life that manifested Great Being was identical to my heart for a poem and its special aroma. I was living a truly happy life as I could create poems.
