Spring in Koguryo

At my gallery exhibition at Oike Kyoto, Mr. Idaki Shin took many pictures of my mind-scape art works and they looked full of vitality and especially one tapestry work entitled spring in Kyoto appealed me very much so I renamed it spring in Koguryo. From the window of my hotel room I could enjoy a beautiful view and flower blossoms and cheerful fairies were wet with fresh spring rain. Suddenly I recalled my photo standing in front of a Tustuji tree. It was taken by Mr. Idaki Shin about twenty years ago and I was assimilated to its beautiful flowers. Inside the gallery space, I sensed the presence of joyful fairies dancing freely over my art works that were singing songs welcoming the spring in Koguryo. Likewise I envisioned a seamless flow of life. When I made a flower arrangement today, I recalled a story of Koguryo’s kings who had the tradition not to artificially fabricate any garden as they knew how to enjoy natural landscapes. My works were reflecting scenery of ancient Koguryo as well as the world three stages before the Big Bang. A person came to thank me with tears of gratitude in her eyes that my art works had helped cure pains in the body. Indeed human internality was connected with the vast universe and when one acknowledged this one could became vigorous and dynamic so as to recover from both mental and physical problems.
