It was chilly in Kyoto, however I felt warmth in my heart

Fresh green leaves were washed by pure spring water and pink colors of cherry blossoms were seen to and fro along the river side. It was indeed the scenery of early spring in Kyoto. As I approached Yasaka, dramatically the tower of Yasaka came into sight and the director of a FM program that I joined last night was already at my gallery exhibition. She was very impressed by a black and white photo of Mt. Gojo, taken by Mr. Idaki Shin, saying that its exquisite and fine gradation made her imagine a lot of stories. She also said together with her staff she really enjoyed drinking Andromeda Ethiopia coffee that I presented her though she usually did not drink coffee. I served her another cup of coffee and I really enjoyed talking with her as if we knew each other for a long time. I heard that a monk of over one hundred years of age visited my exhibition wishing to see me and told my staff that we had better open a permanent gallery at Yasaka. I believed that encountering people and talking to them personally has been the beginning of everything and I really enjoyed doing this. At the entrance of the Yasaka tower, there was an inscription saying that this tower was inaugurated by the emperor Shotoku Taishi who was very well associated with Koguryo. Though it was still chilly in Kyoto, surrounded by an ancient atmosphere and breezes of Koguryo, I realized the arrival of true spring for human history and I could hear the voices of numerous souls that have been waiting for this moment to come, generation after generation.
