Trees
I walked through Tenmonkan arcade in Kagoshima again after twenty four years of absence. I could not recognize anything as everything seemed to have changed. Neither my favorite cake shop and a restaurant were to be seen. The street was completely renewed as a commercial street and there was no trace left of our visit from the time when Mr. Idaki Shin and I were walking along the street aspiring to change the world from Kagoshima by staging many concerts, a spirit which has always been visible in our hearts. I felt the necessity to create something new. At tonight’s executive meeting for the Idaki Shin concert at the Miyama concert hall in Kagoshima, more than twenty people voluntarily participated and I sensed the presence of the hearts of many more staff members who have been helping to promote our concert. Twenty four years ago I was walking around the streets of Kagoshima just by myself. So I rejoiced at having many supporters now and Mr. Idaki Shin’s words to change the world from Kagoshima were revived. At the hot spring bath in my hotel, a tree has attracted my attention for some reason, as its fragrance and smell of clay seemed to me something familiar and today suddenly I acknowledged that they were coming from trees in Ethiopia. I recalled also my last visit to Yakushima Island that was famous for old trees from the Jomon era. I heard that trees all over the world could communicate with each other so they should be talking about Idaki activities while I could understand their messages and enjoyed talking with trees and flowers since childhood. A doctor whom I met today also mentioned the special nature of trees and said that they were connected with every living creature and automatically offer their lives to save other creature in need of help. I said Mr. Idaki Shin had a constitution similar to a tree’s and he understood my story very well.
