A fair of peach blossoms and water

Some time ago I came to know that in my ancestor’s homeland, people used to call the sound of melting snow the water of peach blossoms. They must have heard foot steps of spring in the depth of their heart. While I was joyfully preparing for tomorrow’s fair at the Keiko Koma basement gallery at Roppongi, the exhibition space became a world of pink. As I installed on the walls the photo frames of snow-covered Mt. Gojo with my mind-scape drawing that I had taken by myself, my staff raised their voice and cheered every one of them saying that they captured an invisible world. In reality I did not take a photo based on what I saw but on the sensation of adjusting the center of my life to photographic objects so I placed my camera in front of my chest and released the shutter. While I was walking on Mt. Gojo, I felt the presence of the soul of king Tomei and many of ancient Koguryo’s people. King Tomei was walking towards us on top of a fortification wall near the eastern gate. A photo I had taken at this moment had successfully shown the extreme joy and impressions that I could not express in words, the resurrection of souls of Koguryo and how deeply I was moved as a wind of souls was blown through my life. I could not resist raising my voice of appreciation every time I watched it. The Keiko Koma gallery was a beautiful world full of the vigor of Koguryo. At Café Akira, I made the Koma Shiruko, a sweet soup, out of the variety of beans cultivated in the land of Koguryo. In China it was called Happou (eight treasures) Shiruko and people often served it to a pregnant woman as it was very nourishing and healthy, while I decided to call my version Bijin ( beautiful lady’s) Shiruko. It would be served in a Komasui vessel and I wished that many people would love it. Moreover to our good surprise, Mr. Idaki Shin would make special coffee and good luck Zenzai. We were looking forwards to receiving everybody tomorrow.
