Good luck

Last year in the season of plum blossoms, I went to the Yasaka shrine in Kyoto and tasted Zenzai, a Japanese traditional cup of sweet beans, that was said to purify people. I felt like making my version of Zenzai that would invite good luck. One year has passed and these days I have decided to produce it and thought about the meaning of good luck. Mr. Idaki Shin’s handmade ceramic cup changed the taste of water and coffee. Everyone testified that it became mild. For me it tasted smooth and round making everything gentle and healthy. So I hinted at asking him to make special cups for Zenzai and also a large ceramic vessel for boiling beans. When a person’s mind became gentle, one would come to acknowledge powers from Great Beings and welcome them into one’s life. This would surely make a Zenzai of good luck. Also I created an art object that I saw in my night dream yesterday. I drew my mind-scape drawing on the surface of an acrylic display table that could contain my books, To be with all my soul vol 1 and 2 and a CD by Mr. Idaki Shin. It made the surrounding space fill with fresh air and aroma. I named it a set of good luck as the deepest wishes of a person echoed to a divine being: the idea of good luck itself.
