The 1st of November

Today was the anniversary of my father’s death and was an unforgettable memorial day for me especially because I could meet the chief priest of the Oogami shrine in Nara. Though it was raining heavily I saw a huge number of people coming to greet the shrine as it was the first day of a new month, Sunday and a lucky day according to the Japanese traditional calendar. Before the meeting I also went to greet it and envisioned that a human being should live a life true to the laws of nature and regain the idea of gratitude as an innate emotion when one acknowledged a rotation of nature. In reality at the meeting everybody welcomed us from the bottom of the heart and took great care of us. Everything was perfect and I realized the meaning of gratitude. Knowing that today was the anniversary of my father’s death, the chief priest had arranged a special ceremony and prayer. I felt that my father was greeting him together with me. In the evening I held a lecture event in Kyoto entitled A Night for Rebuilding a Nation. Many people came from various part of Japan to share this special opportunity of commemorating my father. I was deeply touched by their hearts and I had to hold tears coming up in my eyes many times during the event. Mr. Idaki Shin also participated in the event. He drove my new car to Kyoto all the way from Tokyo to deliver it to me. The surrounding space and land of Kyoto seemed to be purified by him and I realized that today we commemorated a new beginning. I was sure that from tomorrow there would be many positive developments. While I have been provided with both wonderful and painful incidents I was sure that our future has been created by people who would remain truthful to human nature. I have always been encouraged by many encounters to keep on paving a way for global peace. I acknowledged the souls of numerous people in the past who had dedicated their lives to open up a future for coming generations. I was extremely grateful to be able to live an authentic human life that was unified with the world of souls as I realized that together with me my father was also expressing his utmost gratitude to everybody we met today.
