We held Keiko Koma’s Coffee Ceremony, “From One’s True Demands of Life to Creation,” again today at Tokyo Komaya. It begins with making the luck-bringing “Koguryo Daifuku.” Both my father and I love daifuku, and I feel its origin is deeply connected to Koguryo. I have eaten many daifuku in my life, but I am delighted to feel that none tastes better than the ones I make myself. After eating them, there is no sense of heaviness or cloudiness — instead, I feel so refreshed, as if the dimension has changed. I am moved by how light my body and heart become, realizing there are no other daifuku like these. When I brewed coffee in my own unique way, the moment I tasted it, my body and heart also became light, and the word “purification” came to me. I felt that the daifuku too was a form of purification. To be purified, to receive many impulses, to invite good fortune, and to live a happy life — that is what it means. Although I was the one who expressed them as the “luck-bringing Koguryo Daifuku,” I truly felt it was so. I was relieved and filled with joy to experience exactly what I had expressed. I am deeply grateful to those who come from afar; I bow my head in appreciation. Today again, I felt deeply that doing what we love, working at what we truly wish to do, and being of service to others is real happiness. I am filled with energy and determination to move toward its realization together with everyone. In the evening, we held “Today’s Talk and Dialogue.” A time when we could speak from our true hearts has come. Expressions to realize one’s authentic self are now being born in each person. Master Idaki Shin has long liberated the internality of human life and purified the environment. From now on, each person’s true self will be manifested, and an era in which human beings can live as true human beings will be created.
