In the gentle morning sunlight, I feel grateful to be alive. Looking up at the sky stretching high and taking a deep breath, I sense that the future will open as I take each step forward. Many things happen, but when I focus deep within, I can feel the center of life, which is the center of the vast universe. As long as I live here, it gives me courage that I am unified with life and will never waver. Every day, heading toward an unknown world, I live by expressing the innermost voice that emerges from my encounter with the future. Today, following my vision, I held a screening salon at Tokyo Koma-ya for the “Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered” concert held in Fukui Prefecture in 2011, the year of the Great East Japan Earthquake. I am deeply moved and awed every time by Master Idaki Shin’s performance, in which he plays improvisations to express the souls’ voices, nature’s life, and people living all over the world by being unified with life. Today, his music deeply resonated in my soul, bringing wave after wave of emotion. And when I heard the phrase in my poem “the awakening of true souls,” my true soul was awakened. A true soul exists to create a world where humans can live as humans. A society that forces lives of sadness, suffering, and a loss of meaning of living is not a world where humans can live. A strong will emerges from within to show my true soul surely to create a world where everyone lives peacefully and happily. Thank you for this day.
